Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

Picture
The Scientists and staff at VGTI-FL are strongly committed to educational and training programs that support and promote the research being conducted at the institute.  One of the ways that we provide training is through our Postdoctoral Fellow Program.  This program is designed to provide the training and experience for Postdoctoral researchers to develop independent research programs that will provide the trainees with the tools and resources for obtaining independent research positions in industry or academia.

Postdoctoral Fellows are considered temporary trainees of the institute and are appointed for a limited training period not to exceed 5 years in tenure.  During this period, the Postdoctoral Fellow will be engaged in research supervised directly by a Principal Investigator that will serve as their mentor and sponsor.  VGTI-FL is committed to the career development of Postdoctoral Fellows and provides opportunities for continued education through advanced topic seminars, career development training programs.  In addition, Postdoctoral Fellows are required to participate in a Works in Progress Seminar Program and special topics Journal clubs as well as a yearly research symposium.

Interested candidates should visit the individual web pages devoted to the research interests of the Principal Investigators at VGTI-FL and contact them directly for potential training opportunities.  Alternatively, open Postdoctoral Fellow positions can be viewed on the career opportunities page.
